MARIA GRECU – MANU BRAZO
MANU BRAZO – saxophone
Spanish saxophonist Manu Brazo was born in Seville in 1993. He recently completed his undergraduate studies in saxophone performance at Conservatorio Superior de Musica “Manuel Castillo” de Sevilla. He won 1st Prinze in 2016 Concerto Competition of “Manuel Castillo”,2017 Guildford Symphony Orchestra Competition for Young Soloists and 2017 Jellinek Award.
Nowadays Manu is studying a Master in Performance at the Royal College of Music in London with the saxophone teacher Kyle Horch. He is an RCM scholar supported by Dr Michael West. He has received lessons of many of the best-known saxophone teachers from all over the world and he has also won many local and national prizes performing solo as well as in different chamber music groups. Manu plays the baritone saxophone in “SQ4” saxophone quartet, with which he has won several Chamber Music awards, which has allowed them to perform for national and international radio and TV channels and also in many notable venues as the “Teatro de la Maestranza” in Sevilla or “MAMA” (modern art museum) in Algerie.
MARIA GRECU – piano
Maria Grecu is a solo and collaborative pianist winner of 11 international, 12 national and 10 local competitions as well as Excellency prizes in 9 interpretation competitions. She holds an Excellency Diploma for the educational portfolio as a Romanian Olympic in music awarded by the Romanian Prime Minister in 2008.
She was an Ambassador of the Young Talents Promotion Program “MOL Can I Help?” The Ambassadors of Talent, award granted by MOL Romania and the Foundation for Community in 2014. She was one of the winners of George Enescu Music High school Concerto Competition. She performed recitals on renowned stages from Romania and Germany. She studied with teachers as: Eduard Kunz, Csiky Boldiszar, Daniel Goiti, Razvan Popovici, Walter Krafft, Adrian Suciu. After all of these years of work and accomplishments she got accepted into the Royal College of Music where is currently studying her BMus2 piano with Professor Andrew Ball.

‘Drinks and food are given equal prominence at this good-looking gastropub on Dalling Road, in Hammersmith. Both are served in a venue that gets the classy boozer look pretty much down – think chesterfields, leather armchairs, a roaring fire and lots of impeccably reclaimed wood.
‘There looks to be plenty of adventure on the food menu, with dishes ranging from a cassoulet with slow cooked duck, pork belly and Toulouse sausage to pan fried cod fillet with scordalia, cavolo nero and pickled beetroot, with a fresh mint and lemon yoghurt dressing. Steak and chips, poshed-up pies and a decent looking burger offer more recognisable pub-grub staples.
‘The wine list covers worlds old and new, with a good number of good bottles available by the glass thanks to a Coravin wine system. A more than healthy range of ales are on draught, with big-hitters alongside those from smaller, local brewers.’
HAMMERSMITH PUB HISTORY
Built in the 1850s, Thatched House was the last pub in London to be serviced by the dray horse from the Wandsworth brewery. Since that time, the pub had undergone many alterations, with many of the beautiful original features being lost or covered up along the way. When it was bought from a big chain in 2015, The Pub Doctor was tasked with restoring it to its former glory.
